After 70 years in captivity, God did as He promised. He brought His people back home. We call this time period Return From Captivity. In today’s lesson we will discuss the rebuilding of the temple and Ezra reading the book of the law.

Open bibles to Ezra 1:2-4
Students read these verses. Then continue with the story using slideshow Return From Captivity
Sing: The People Stood Up
Bulletin Board Activity:
Add Return From Captivity picture. Let students take turns putting small pictures in the correct pocket.

I typically like to start a new hymn at the beginning of each month but I want to do this one one more time. I remembered that I have a set of armor for the kids to wear. It will go great with the hymn: Faith Is The Victory
