Last Days of Jesus Put It In Order Activity

A review activity that asks the student to put 14 pictures representing the last days of Jesus in order.

Sequencing activities can be a very good way to help with retention. While it can be just as effective to put pictures down in the order that they happened, wouldn’t it be more fun to have little hands connect the cards?

I got these little connecting hands at Learning Resources. A quick search on their website shows that they are no longer available but if you keep your eyes open, you may find something that will work just as well. They aren’t necessary but they add an extra level of interest for students that tire of the same old thing.

The 14 cards came from the Beginner’s Bible Cards but any appropriate pictures would work. The cards are quite small — about 2″ X 3″. This allows the students to work in a small space (always a premium in our Bible classes). The student connects the pictures in the order they happened using the hands. The cards will stand up when they are connected.

Each of the cards have a word written on the back that will, when the activity is completed, let the student know if he did it correctly. You will notice that the words are hand written. It may not be the most professional way to do it but sometimes, a little hand writing adds a personal touch (and saves time).

The completed activity will look like this. The completed phrase I used for the back comes from John 3:16 — For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son. You can change the verse up if you wish. You need to choose one that has meaning to the activity and has the same amount of words as there are cards.
