Pictorial Tutorial
The first page introduces Paul. Giving the child a sense of what the letters Paul wrote by comparing them to letters he might get in the mail today.
The stamp is a sticker I found in our resource room — not a real stamp. You could even draw a stamp in place. Depending on the age of the students, you might want to have the letter completed before class or have them help you address it or put on the stamp.
The letter should be short. You can use the wording here or write your own.
Saul Makes A Big Change PDF

The change Paul made in his life from Christian persecutor to a Christian himself is dramatic. He even changed his name. Here is a song you can use when teaching this lesson: Saul/Paul
This is a book in a book. The little book is just 2 pages and is glued in place either before class or with some help, the child can do it in class. The child will put the large S on the first page and the large P on the second page. I used a cold laminater with sticky stuff on the back to make the letters stickers. You could just use glue stick.
Paul Heals A Lame Man
Paul heals the lame man. Before class, glue the flap in place. The flap needs to be placed accurately so the lines of the road/building match up.
During class, the child can glue the lame man on the front of the flap and the healed me on the opened flap.
Paul Converts Lydia
Paul had the privilege of teaching and baptizing Lydia and her household. The student will enjoy reenacting the baptism of Lydia here.
This page should be completed before class. There’s not much that can be added to it by the child.
Paul And The Jailer
Paul and Silas were imprisoned in Philippi. After an earthquake, the jailer was afraid the prisoners had escaped but they had not.
This flap page shows Paul and Silas in prison and then the jailer’s reaction when he found they had not escaped. The child can glue the jailer in place on the flap.
Paul Is Bit By A Snake
Paul was bitten by a snake on his way to Rome.
This fun page shows the bite in action. The snake can be glued by the child in class but you might want to call in some help. It just takes 2 drops of glue — one on the underneath side of the tail and one on the top of the head. Close the page, hold it for a few minutes. When you open it up, the tail will be attached to the bottom and the head to the top page.
Give the child ownership by letting him write his name on the back.
Is it possible to get the link for the mailbox?
Can you please send me the templates for the mailbox and the letter? it is not included in this tutorial and it states that it is. I am a Sunday school teacher and this craft will be perfect for the lesson.

a black and white version the kids could color themselves would be great too.
The page “Paul is Bit by a Snake” is so perfect for my grandson who is learning his alphabet and enthralled with snakes at the present time. But what a disappointment when the second page refuses to print.I save it to my computer and the file shows all three pages in the previews but page 2 just does not print. Can you help me?
I’m sorry you’re having trouble, Donna. I don’t have any idea what the problem could be. Maybe try a different printer? I know just enough about these things to do the very basics.
