The announcements and births of John the Baptist and Jesus have a lot of similarities. In fact, in can get confusing which birth went with which event. This activity should help clear up some of the confusion while giving an opportunity for review.

The activity involves a Venn Diagram. The cards have statements that describe the births of John and Jesus. The students are to place the cards in the appropriate section of the diagram. The cards that describe both the birth of John and of Jesus will be placed in the intersecting section of the diagram. After completion, turn the cards over. If the cards are in the correct section, the colored dots on the back will match the color of that section.
