Psalm 127

Happy Is The Man

This Psalm is dear to my heart because my husband has a very full quiver.  Our 6 boys have been such a blessing to us.  They truly are a gift from God.  I wanted to create a quiver to put in a project folder.  The ideas I first came up tended to be too bulky.  It needed to be flat so the project folder would close.  This one that I came up with seemed to satisfy the students and fit the size requirements so that’s all that matters.  The highlight of this activity is the arrows.  The students were given arrows for all the children in their family.  At first, I just expected them to write their siblings names on each arrow but having all boys I didn’t take into consideration what the little girls would want to do.  They wanted to decorate the arrows with colors and symbols that represented each sibling.  Of course, the boys followed suit and what was intended to be a one class session project lasted several weeks.  I told them they could work on their arrows any time they came to class early and the few times we had extra time at the end of class, they would spend a few minutes on their arrows.

This project can be sent home at the end of class or can be added to the Books of Poetry Project Folder.
